Agreement to these terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of Scrub AI. By creating an account, signing in, purchasing a subscription, or using the service, you agree to these terms.

If you use Scrub AI for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and references to you include that organization.

The service

Scrub AI provides tools that rewrite submitted text and evaluate output using AI detection services. Results are generated automatically and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your intended use.

You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and deciding whether to use any generated output. Scrub AI does not provide legal, academic, professional, or compliance advice.

Accounts and eligibility

• You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in method secure.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account.
• You may not use Scrub AI if you are under 13 or barred from using the service under applicable law.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create risk, or misuse the service.

Your content and rights

You retain ownership of text you submit and output generated for you, subject to rights held by others and applicable law. You grant Scrub AI and its service providers permission to process your submissions and output solely as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service.

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit content to Scrub AI and that your submissions and use of output will not violate law, contracts, academic rules, platform rules, or third-party rights.

Acceptable use

• Do not submit illegal content, malware, secrets you are not authorized to share, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
• Do not use Scrub AI to deceive people, evade academic or workplace integrity rules, impersonate others, generate spam, or hide prohibited conduct.
• Do not reverse engineer, scrape, overload, disrupt, bypass security, or attempt to access systems or data without authorization.
• Do not resell, sublicense, or provide Scrub AI as a competing service without written permission.

Plans, billing, and subscriptions

Scrub AI may offer free and paid plans with monthly word allowances. Word usage is measured using submitted input text and may continue to count even if a request produces output you choose not to use.

Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Prices, plan features, limits, and billing cycles are shown at checkout or on the pricing page. Unless otherwise stated, paid plans renew automatically until canceled.

You are responsible for taxes, payment method accuracy, and charges incurred through your account. Refunds, credits, or plan changes may be limited by the payment terms shown at checkout or required by law.

Third-party services

Scrub AI relies on third-party services for authentication, payments, hosting, analytics, AI rewriting, and AI detection. Those services may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control, but we choose providers that help us operate Scrub AI responsibly.

Availability and changes

We may update, suspend, limit, or discontinue parts of Scrub AI at any time. We may also change plans, features, usage limits, or these terms as the product evolves.

If changes are material, we will update the date above and may provide additional notice through the service. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Disclaimers and limits of liability

Scrub AI is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that output will satisfy any detector, reviewer, policy, or requirement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scrub AI and its providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities.

Indemnity and termination

You agree to defend and indemnify Scrub AI from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your content, your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

You may stop using Scrub AI at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these terms, created risk, failed to pay, or if continued access would be unlawful or harmful.
